The owners of Clip 'n Climb High Wycombe have revealed why the popular attraction suddenly closed its doors, leaving customers shocked and searching for answers.

The indoor climbing centre, which had become a popular destination for families after it opened in 2024, ceased trading without warning earlier this week.

Customers took to social media following the closure, with many expressing disappointment and asking what had happened to the business.

Now, in a statement which has been released, had explained the current situation.

The owners said on August 6: "We're sorry to share that Clip 'n Climb High Wycombe has gone into administration."

The announcement confirms the company is no longer trading, bringing an end to the attraction's time in the town.

Anyone owed money has been advised to contact the administrators, BTG Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP, via email.

In their statement, the owners apologised to customers affected by the closure.

They added: "We are genuinely sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause."

The company also paid tribute to staff who helped run the centre over the years.

"We also want to give a huge thank you to our brilliant staff team, whose hard work and warmth made this centre such a special place to visit," the statement read.

Reflecting on the business's time in High Wycombe, the owners added: "Running this centre has been a genuine privilege.

“Welcoming your families in for what we truly believe is a brilliant activity has meant the world to us, and the support of this community has been amazing.

"We thank you for your understanding."

Customers with outstanding bookings, refunds or other financial queries have been advised to contact the administrators directly.
