Changes will be made to bus services after a network review.

Bus routes across Buckinghamshire, including several serving High Wycombe, are set to change from 21 June 2026 as Carousel Buses introduces a revised network aimed at improving reliability and better matching demand.

The changes are part of a wider review carried out with neighbouring authorities, but passengers in and around High Wycombe will notice updates to some of the town’s routes.

Changes will include increased frequencies, simplified timetables and new journeys.

One of the most significant changes affects the 37 route linking High Wycombe with Bourne End, Cookham, Maidenhead and Windsor.

Services on the core stretch between High Wycombe and Maidenhead will increase to run up to every 30 minutes on weekdays, providing a more regular and predictable option for commuters.

The service pattern is also being simplified, with additional variants and one-off journeys absorbed into the main route.

Further adjustments to the 37 will see minor changes beyond Buckinghamshire, including revised stopping arrangements in Windsor.

School travel is another focus of the changes.

Services 36 and 36S, which run between High Wycombe, Flackwell Heath and Bourne End, will see revised timetables aimed at improving punctuality and better aligning with school start times.

Additional journeys will be introduced on school mornings, particularly serving Marlow Hill Schools, to increase capacity and ensure students can travel more easily during peak periods.

In a boost for weekend travel, the same route will gain a new hourly Sunday and public holiday service..

The 850 route, connecting High Wycombe with Marlow, Henley, Twyford and Reading, will also be updated with a revised timetable designed to improve punctuality throughout the day.

Importantly for passengers travelling later in the evening, additional journeys between High Wycombe and Marlow will be introduced with support from Buckinghamshire Council, offering greater flexibility for both workers and leisure users.

Across the network, Carousel says it is aiming to create a more sustainable and dependable service.
