Businesses and residents will be able to have their say on plans to improve a traffic blackspot into Marlow as a consultation launches today.

In 2017 it was revealed more than £1.7 million had been secured towards improving the Westhorpe Interchange junction on the A404.

And proposals to build traffic signals at the junction as well as a new slip road from the A404 onto Parkway and an additional access and exit to and from Globe Business Park (GBP) from the A4155 were unveiled just before Christmas last year.

The traffic blackspot has been plagued with congestion at peak times, and Bucks County Council is hoping the makeover will help improve access to and from Globe Park, as well as relieve heavy traffic at the junction.

The consultation, which opens today (January 7) and runs until February 1, gives Globe Park businesses and Marlow residents the chance to have their say on the plans.

There will also be a series of drop-in events at various locations across the park where people will be able to look at plans and ask any questions.

The project – led by Bucks & Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership (BTVLEP), Bucks County County Council, Wycombe District Council and the Globe Park BID –was awarded the money by Highways England, after Globe Park and local authorities submitted a joint bid to its growth and housing fund – a government money pot set aside for road improvements.
