Visitors to a Buckinghamshire museum can learn all about Britain's craft heritage at a two-day event this July. 

Chiltern Open Air Museum is hosting its Heritage Crafts Weekend on July 25 and 26.

The event aims to bring traditional skills to life through a range of demonstrations.

These include chair making on a pole lathe, woodturning, rope making, spinning, natural dyeing, spoon carving, pottery, lacemaking, thatching, basket making, and prehistoric amber jewellery crafting.

Visitors can also watch a wheelwright at work, see blacksmithing demonstrations in the Victorian forge, and discover the intricate art of chainmail making.

Craftspeople will showcase heritage cooking techniques and crochet inside the museum's historic buildings, while a stonemason will hand-carve an English rose.

The event will also explore 17th-century lighting and medicinal practices.

The museum's historic buildings and outdoor spaces, including the High Wycombe furniture factory and the Bodgers Area, will host unique displays and demonstrations.
