A boy from Berkshire has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary and assault near the Bucks/Oxfordshire border.

The 16-year-old from Slough was arrested in connection with the incident in Thame on Tuesday, October 7.

The boy has not only been charged with aggravated burglary but also assault occasioning actual bodily harm and will appear at Oxford magistrates' Youth Court next Wednesday, October 15.

A spokesperson for police said: "Thames Valley Police has made an arrest and charge following an aggravated burglary in Thame.

"A 16-year-old boy from Slough was arrested and charged on Tuesday (7/10)."

"He has been charged with aggravated burglary and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

"The 16-year-old has been remanded to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Youth Court on Wednesday (October 15)."

Furthermore, the police investigation into the incident on Kingsey Road is continuing, with the service appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday, September 28.

The police spokesperson added: "Our investigation into the outstanding offenders remains ongoing.

"The public appeal, which was published on Monday 29 September, relates to an aggravated burglary that occurred on in the early hours of Sunday 28 September on Kingsey Road in Thame which has since been removed.
