Marlow Bowls Club has been named Club of the Year by the county association.

The Buckinghamshire Bowls Association praised the club’s efforts in recruiting 23 new playing members in 2025, increasing its total to nearly 130.

The club was recognised for its regular open days, participation in Bowls Big Weekend, and effective publicity strategies.

At the Buckinghamshire Bowls Association County Presentation Dinner and Awards 2025, member Ann White also received the Women’s Challenge Singles Cup, presented by Paul Green from the Bowls England Presidential Team.

Ms White, alongside Felicity Rees, reached the last 32 nationally in the Bowls England Women’s Senior Pairs.

Marlow Bowls Club also achieved success in various competitions, reaching the semi-finals of the Bucks Plate and the women’s team reaching the quarter-finals of the Trundell Trophy.

A club spokesperson said: "We are proud to receive this acknowledgement of the efforts made by all our members – officers, players, green keepers, bar staff, and all who volunteer in so many ways to keep the wheels turning throughout the year."
