A man who caused thousands of pounds of damage to three shop windows in Beaconsfield, assaulted two police officers and trespassed in a bookmakers has been given a suspended sentence.

George Jago, 22, caused £4,300-worth of damage to the windows of The Nail Bar, Sainsbury’s and Coral betting shop on June 22, 2019.

The same day, he also attacked two police officers and entered Betfred in Beaconsfield as a trespasser with intent to steal.

In a court hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ on October 27, the Maxwell Road resident was given a three-month jail sentence, suspended for 12 months.

For breaking into Betfred, he was ordered to pay £500 compensation and costs of £175. He was also made to pay each police officer he attacked £100 in compensation.

For damaging The Nail Bar’s window, he has to fork out £1,300, and £500 each to Coral and Sainsbury’s.
