A TikTok knitter from Amersham has hinted at applying for a TV talent show.

Louise Goodridge, a singer and knitter who has amassed more than 2,000 TikTok followers, could set her sights on the ITV talent show which begins this spring.

She hinted at a potential audition while being interviewed on the show by BBC Radio Three Counties presenter Justin Dealey.

Asked if she would go on the show, Mrs Goodridge said: "Do you think Simon Cowell will like it?

"In which case, I would do it."

Mrs Goodridge uses her TikTok platform to knit while singing, taking requests from hundreds of viewers every night.

Speaking on Justin's show, she said the hobby came about to fill her spare time while she enjoyed singing at home.

She said: "I think the knitting came around because I thought ‘well I can’t just sit around for two hours, singing, wasting my time here, what else can I do at the same time'.

"I am knitter, I have been kitting for over 55 years. I learned to knit when I was 5 and I’m nearly 60 now.  It’s something I enjoy doing and I sing as a general thing anyway.

"Singing while knitting just happened to just pop along."
