A man has been sentenced to more than three years in prison following a drugs investigation in Aylesbury.

Haseeb Zaman was jailed for three years and nine months at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday, May 1.

At the same court on February 16, Zaman pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, namely cocaine, and two counts of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, namely cannabis and cannabis resin.

His incarceration comes after Zaman was seen by officers from the Buckinghamshire North Proactive Team carrying out a drug deal and was arrested at the scene at around 1.30 pm on January 13 in the town.

A Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search was subsequently carried out at his home, where officers seized 13.7 grams of cocaine, 3,894 grams of cannabis, 640 grams of cannabis resin and £8,255 in cash.

Zaman was charged later the same day.

The force said: “Drug dealing brings harm and exploitation to our communities, and we will continue to take robust action against those involved.”
