Standstill traffic was reported on a country road in High Wycombe as a result of a car crash.

In the afternoon of Wednesday, February 4, the emergency services were called to Marlow Road, near the junction with Clay Lane, following reports of an incident.

Officers from Thames Valley Police attended the scene and immediately cordoned off the road, which was in place for a couple of hours.

Traffic began to build up along Marlow Road in both directions between Marlow and Lane End, as cars were seen trying to turn around.

The cause of the incident is not known, but the Free Press has contacted the force for a comment.

By 5 pm, traffic started to move freely, and within 10 minutes, normal traffic had resumed.
