Initially, the operation was a missing person investigation, but later became a murder investigation.

In a fresh statement released this evening (Wednesday, February 4), TVP officers have confirmed that human remains have been discovered during searches in connection with the ongoing murder probe.

Detective Superintendent Andy Howard said: “The force has been supporting Polish law enforcement by carrying out searches in a field on Grays Park Road, Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, since Tuesday, February 3.

“Sadly, during these searches, human remains have been discovered and now recovered from this area.

“Formal identification as well as a post mortem to try and ascertain the cause of death will be carried out in due course.

“Andrzej’s family are being supported and kept up to date regarding the progress of the murder investigation.

“I would like to again thank the community for their cooperation while we are in the area carrying out these searches.”
